Lessonstead

App data practices

The Lessonstead app does not transmit school records, run analytics, track you, or show advertising. It has no account system or developer-operated backend.

Local school records

Student names, grade levels, lessons, attendance, grades, notes, and preferences are stored in Lessonstead's local app container. The developer does not receive them. Local records remain on-device until you delete them in Lessonstead or remove the app. Depending on your iOS and iCloud settings, Apple-managed device backups may include app data and follow Apple's backup-retention practices; the developer cannot access those backups. Exports leave the app only when you choose to share or save them.

Support email

If you email support, the developer and Google/Gmail, as the email service provider, receive the email address you use, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. Service providers processing support requests are required by their terms and applicable law to protect that information consistently with this policy. This information is used only to answer or troubleshoot your request, not for sale, advertising, or tracking. It is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request or meet legal and security obligations, then deleted. You may request deletion by emailing dan1sl6nd@gmail.com. Do not email student names, grades, attendance, or other sensitive school records.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, Lessonstead asks iOS for notification permission, reads the authorization status locally, and schedules up to 14 future notifications on your device. Each notification contains only planned-lesson and attendance-review counts—never student names, subjects, lesson titles, grades, or notes. The developer does not receive your notification status or activity.

Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions. Lessonstead reads StoreKit product and entitlement status locally to unlock the app. The developer does not receive payment details or entitlement status through Lessonstead.

Deletion

You can delete local records, recovery copies, generated PDF/CSV files, and Lessonstead's pending local reminders from Settings while subscribed or from Manage Local Data on the paywall without subscribing. You can also prepare a local CSV copy before deletion.
